We all assumed that grunge style was long gone, but fashion is cyclical and whatever was once cool will always come back. Grunge was one of the main style representatives of the 90s decade and when we think of it we can’t help but sing Nirvana’s ‘’Smells like teen spirit’’. Johnny Deep and Kate Moss were huge icons of this style, wearing oversized bomber jackets, destroyed jeans and band t-shirts and being honest here, we would love to recreate these outfits and look as dreamy as they did.
That scruffy look, like a typical angsty teenager that was all the rage in the 90s is here to stay. If we had to point out who would be able to embody this style in the present time we would say Cara Delevingne, Kelly Osbourne or Sky Ferreira. Grunge has this aura of wearing casual clothes that are essentially nice and good quality but making it as carefree as you can and not worrying about how they fit or look. One of the pieces we love most about street style is band tees. From oversized to crop styles, band t-shirts are a staple for grungy looks. If you want to achieve that perfect laid-back style you should go for oversized comfy hoodies. Before the 90s, this piece was considered athletic-only but in recent years it became a luxe staple. From neutral palettes to bold prints, there is so much to choose from when it comes to sweatshirts. We suggest a big grey hoodie with a zipper to layer on top of a flannel and a white tee.

All the 90s celebs who would advocate for this style would have an assortment of long black dresses, these are sexy yet not overly feminine.
